This comprehensive course is designed to provide you with a well-rounded training experience spanning over two days of face-to-face training. In addition to these immersive training days, the course entails a 12-week home study course to engage in various assignments to deepen your understanding and proficiency in relaxation, mindfulness and meditation. You complete this Relaxation, Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Training Course with a six-week deliverable programme for your clients.
This training is designed to meet the increasing demand for highly trained and accredited meditation and mindfulness teachers across various regions in the UK, including the Midlands, Wales, London, Brighton, East Sussex and West Sussex. Relaxation, Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Training – Syllabus
Introduction
On this accredited course Relaxation, Meditation, and Mindfulness students learn how to teach relaxation, meditation, and mindfulness individually and in groups.
Module One
- Meditation practice and its origination
- Proven scientific benefits of meditation
- Types of meditation and mindfulness practices
- Practice techniques to reduce stress and elicit relaxation
- Mindset skills to support transformation
- Structuring your meditation practice and understanding the importance of posture
- Cultivating awareness of your internal chatter
- Exploring your ‘Brand’ and ‘Letting Go’ of parts of your story which do not serve you
Module Two
- Integrating meditation practice with life’s daily activities
- Cultivating presence and connecting with the miracle of nature including yourself
- Examining how thoughts determine how we feel and how we feel determines how we act
- Dealing with resistance to meditation
- Coaching mindfulness techniques
- Mindset = cultivating the qualities of ‘beginner mind, humility, curiosity, surrender, acceptance, trust, patience, compassion, and willingness
Module Three
- Principles of instruction including the attitudinal states of mindfulness and inspiring confidence
- Exploring consciousness, presence, and conditioning
- Communicating the benefits and the barriers to meditation
- How to use meditation and mindfulness for quick and easy stress reduction
- Planning meditation and mindfulness classes and/or private instruction
- Key strategies for delivering the 6-week programme provided as part of the training
- Promoting your meditation instruction services
Assessment
- 75 hours of learning and 16 hours of supervised skills development
- Supervised skills development practice
- Two-session plan outline
- Delivery of a 10-minute relaxation session
- Reflective learning journal
- Record 15 to 20 minutes of personal practice twice daily for six weeks
- Two book reviews from a reading list
- Production of recorded audio of progressive relaxation and guided meditation.

Course Entry Requirements:
Applicants need to have acceptable qualifications, in related areas e.g. health professionals, HR professionals and those working in the field of physical, mental or emotional well-being. Or be able to demonstrate that their accumulated knowledge and skills are equal to the requirements of the above.
Approved Level Three Core Therapy Status
Benefits – 15 CPD points
All students who obtain a Think Tree International Complimentary Therapies Association Approved Core Therapy qualification will automatically be accepted as members.
All Approved Core Therapy or Advanced Training therapies are automatically accepted for addition to the professional’s register of treatments and will be covered by their insurance provider.

What To Bring:
- A journal and a pen
- A water bottle
- A yoga mat
- A packed lunch and snacks but there are lots of places to eat in the area
- Please arrive 15 minutes before training starts. Doors will not be open until then
- Please wear comfortable clothing
- Herbal teas, water and biscuits will be provided for break

Training course registrations will not be confirmed until registration is complete and billing information is received in full. In order to cancel or reschedule a confirmed training please submit an email request info@smartfouondations.co.uk.
Please submit all cancellation requests within 60 calendar days of registration and no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled course date in order to receive a full refund of paid registration fees.
People who do not turn up and cancellations not made within the specified cancellation period will incur the full cost of registration.
